Thank you for your interest in our No RegRATS Valentine's Day fundraiser. Our 2025 fundraiser is now closed. We are grateful for all the support we received this year and are excited to continue the tradition in 2026. Until then, please support the Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program by following us on social media or joining our mailing list. Our annual No RegRATs Valentine's Day Fundraiser is back for its fourth year! Not feeling very romantic this Valentine’s Day? Looking for a little light-hearted revenge?

 

Now through February 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM PST, for a minimum donation of $5, we will symbolically name a rat with the name of your choice and feed it to one of the NSOBP’s resident northern spotted owls. On Valentine’s Day, you’ll receive an email featuring a photo of a rat and the owl it was “fed” to.

Please follow these instructions carefully. If these steps are not completed correctly, your donation form may not be processed and you will be ineligible to receive an email:​

Step 1. Fill out the Donation Form at the bottom of this page with your information.
(You must provide accurate and complete contact information to receive an email. Don't worry, no personal information will be publicized.)

Step 2. If you would like the email to be sent to someone else, include their name and email in the “Write a private message to us” box (located below the donation amount selection buttons). Otherwise, it will be sent to the donor’s email. â€‹

Step 3. Enter the name you’ve chosen for the rat in the "Rat name(s)" question box at the bottom of the donation form. ​

Please note:

  • It is a $5 donation per rat. Adjust your donation accordingly if you would like to name additional rats.

    • Tax receipts are only issued for donations of $25 or more.​

  • Each contact can only receive one email. Multiple rat names will be combined into a single email unless you request additional emails in the “Write a private message to us” box (located below the donation amount selection buttons).​

    • If you are requesting multiple rat names for different email contacts, please specify which rat name corresponds to each contact in the “Write a private message to us” box.​

  • As much as we would love to read every funny anecdote and break-up story, the donation form is simpler to process when submissions are limited to names and email addresses. Please keep things short and sweet.

  • Due to the operating hours of the NSOBP, No RegRATs emails will be sent out on a staggered schedule starting at 9:00 AM PST on February 14, 2026.

  • This is a symbolic fundraiser; all emails will feature the same or similar content.
