Outreach & Education

We offer curriculum-linked education programs for students and general presentations for the public. Our presentations are great for classrooms, birthday parties, corporate events, naturalist groups, and more.

LOOKING FOR AN INTERACTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE?

One-hour presentations offer an inside look into the life cycle of spotted owls, their role in the ecosystem, and our conservation efforts. They include an audio/visual component, activities tailored to participants, and an owl meet and greet.

DID YOU KNOW WE HAVE PELLETS AVAILABLE?

Dissecting pellets is a great way to learn about owl diets, bones, and the food web. Pellets come individually wrapped and sanitized, ready for dissection. Each pellet is $3 each, or $1 if you book a presentation with us. Minimum order of 25 pellets required, plus shipping if applicable.

All proceeds go towards daily operations of the NSOBP, including food for the owls and aviary maintenance. Please note that presentations are unavailable during the busy breeding season from Feb – June.

*Admin fees apply. Additional same-day presentations to accommodate more participants are available at a discounted rate of $165. Mileage is calculated at $0.62/km roundtrip from Fort Langley. Separate fees apply for presentations with mileage of 70km+ one way.
